Yeah I just bought a flash for my camera. It cost me 3 videogames. I included that in the total of 14 though. The wonderful part is that in photography everything except the actual camera body retains its value surprisingly well. You can basically keep a good lens forever. The only thing that becomes obsolete is the camera body, but even those are getting to a point of diminished returns on technological improvement.

I’ll still be using lenses and flashes I buy right now 20 years from now. I’ll probably go through a few new camera bodies though.

The problem is that lenses are expensive. Each of the next 3 lenses I want cost about 5 1/2 videogames each. Oh well. I don’t play videogames much anymore so I might as well create something while I’m hobbying.

14 unpirated video games worth of camera gear. That’s a lot of gear. At least it doesn’t fade into obsolescence as fast. Oh wait, it does.

Long live expensive boy hobbies.

I just bought a video game worth of D&D miniatures, as a *cough cough* impulse buy *cough cough*
luckily Adrian was very nice about it, and even admired them, when I know it drives her a little bonkers.

At the very least I will be going. I’ll probably try and make it a day trip rather than staying overnight somewhere though.

Driving to Oklahama and back is still a full tank though heh, which costs more than an ENTIRE VIDEOGAME!!!

Just teasing. Although admittedly I would relate real world costs in terms of how many videogames they were worth when I was younger. I have like 14 videogames worth of camera gear now fyi.

Oh, Spencer is going in August?! BJ and I are discussing going. We would stay one night (Saturday night) and leave some time on Sunday.

Happy birthday Phoebe! Sounds like it was a fun party! We’re going to have party for Max and combine it with a half-birthday party for yoroko and Spencer’s birthday as well, one big bash. That’s great that Phoebe is walking. Yoroko used to call broccoli trees, too, isn’t that funny? She won’t eat it any more, which is too bad. Lucky BJ having three days off. Spencer’s getting four days away to go to his sister’s wedding in August. He moans about beting aaway, but I’m sure he’ll enjoy the break. And I love your stroller! I bet it’s so useful.
